Design of 36 MLD water supply scheme to Alumina Refinery of M/s Vedanta Aluminium Ltd. at Lanjigarh, Odisha.

Field Survey-For 70Km of pipeline alignment, River cross section and river contours at Redial Well location, Grid Survey for Radial well and Intermediate Pump House, Substation.

Hydraulic Design: Pumping out test, Radial well Rising main, Sump, Earthen Reservoir etc.

Structural Design: Radial well ID- 8m ID and OD- 10m, by sinking method 15.6m below RBL of total height 24.8m with, circular Over Head Pump House of ID- 8m. Steel approach bridge with foundation and piers in RCC of width 3.6m and length 115m. Intermediate Sump of Capacity 30ML and Pump house, switchyard and substation approach ramp all pipeline structures.

Radials: 300mm dia. steel radials pushed at 10m below RBL. Total 16nos of 565m length.

Rising Main: 700mm NB MS pipe of length 63.76 Km in two stages of 34.86 Km and 28.9Km with max. field test pressure of 297m and 265m respectively.

Pumping Machinery: 4 VT pumps with design head of 187m installed on Radial well and 4 Centrifugal pumps with design head of 178m installed on Intermediate pump house, each pump with duty discharge of 139LPS.

Substation: 33/6.6KV 1.7MVA x 2 and 1.6MVA x 2 Transformers substations including all electrical system and switchgears switchgears.

Earthen Reservoir: Capacity 210ML with HDPE film with CC lining from inside.

Utilities like staff quarters, storm drainage, illumination, internal electrification etc. complete.

Completed in 2006.

Detail Study and Designing required for revamping of existing Raw Water system with withdrawal capacity of 30 to 40 MLD water to be delivered to Alumina Refinery plant of Vedanta Aluminium Ltd. at Lanjigarh, Odisha

RCC approach bridge with foundation and piers in RCC of width 6.5m and length 75m. Switchyard and substation approach ramp all pipe line structures.

Radials: 300mm dia steel radials pushed at 5.4m below RBL. Total 29nos of 1217m length. Rising Main: 700mm NB MS pipe of length 2.5 Km with max. field test pressure of 297m and 265m respectively.

Pumping Machinery: 4 VT pumps with design head of 225m installed on Radial well each pump with duty discharge of 185.33LPS. Substation: 33/6.9KV 2.5MVA x 2 Transformers substations including all electrical system and switchgears.

Utilities like illumination, internal electrification etc. complete.
